Improvisation Workshop
with Malaya Conrade

Feel, move through and let go in this two hour improvisation workshop. One count of eight as an intro, one count of eight as an outro- the rest is up to you! 

Curated for dancers of all levels looking to up their confidence in improvisation and movement quality. Research the four main components of free movement beyond any given phrase work: beat vs lyrics, levels of space, textures and releasing fear/doubt of one’s ability to create on the spot (aka: the mind component). Class will consist of a guided warm-up, across the floor and various improvisation exercises to get our minds thinking and our hearts feeling. The goal is to feel more comfortable in ones improvisation, find your own emotive spark when on the spot and adding to your dancer toolbox.
